Accessibility statement for enter learning data

This accessibility statement applies to the enter learning data service. This website is run by the Department for Education (DfE). We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device setting
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader, including the most recent versions of JAWS

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • some pages have duplicate links
  • on most of the screens, when you click the Continue button, JAWS screen reader says “unavailable” - you can continue as expected but this may cause confusion for some users
  • the site responds to standard Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice commands, but it is not possible to enter text into a text box without opening the dictation box and transferring the text into the page

Compliance status

The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

When changing a course that you have just added, there are duplicate Change links on the page that allow different elements of the course to be changed. Similarly, on the Learner Overview page there are duplicate Remove links. This contravenes WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria 4.1.2.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We will uniquely label duplicate links.
